Completed models contain thousands of details created by our skillful master craftsmen. It is made of finest wood like Rosewood, Mahogany, Teak and other exotic tropical wood. Chrome and brass fittings and ornaments constitute the excellence of our models. Extensive research through original plans and pictures make our models authentic. History:

The San Felipe, launched in 1690, was one of the most beautiful Spanish galleons of the XVII century. She was the lead ship of the famous Spanish Armada. The San Felipe displaced more than 1000 tons and was armed with 96 cannons, enabling her to take on the most formidable ships in the French and British navies. The San Felipe’s role in the war against the British and French was to help protect Spanish settlements and harbors, to transport treasures, and to safeguard the long and hazardous passage back to Spanish ports. In 1705, the San Felipe participated in a furious and heroic battle between 12 Spanish ships and 35 British ships. After 24 hours of battle, she was captured by an English ship, but was so badly damaged that she could not be salvaged as a prize. She went down to the bottom of the ocean with several tons of gold.

Very pleasantly surprised when I opened up the package and saw this. it is real craftsmanship, nothing at all like the cheap, imported plastic garbage that one sees in products everywhere these days. This model is beautiful. The details are amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. This will be a heirloom piece in my family. It is expensive, but if you're thinking about getting it, do it. Its going to look very, very nice in your space.

Comment: This ship is gorgeous! There is so much intricate detail it is amazing. It was worth every penny just to see the look on my son's face when he opened the large box and saw what it was. The only downside was the box it was shipped in basically gave away what was inside. Luckily, he had just left the house before it arrived. It really is beautiful!

Comment: Amazingly ornate and detailed! This is my fourth model ship. I have the 37" version of the Sovereign of the Seas which is of course larger than this version of the San Felipe (same size exists for this one too), yet with both of them you truly can sit and examine them for long periods of time, wondering at the mind-blowing craftsmanship. I will place this on a display table along with a beautiful clock I recently purchased soon for all to see!

Comment: Very secure packing to protect the ship. Its secured in the center of a wooden box frame and takes a bit of time to remove. Craftsmanship is great and should be for the price. Rigging is secure and details are well made. If you like old ships you'll enjoy this model.

Comment: I had the great joy of unpacking the model today. It came secured and protected by a wooden crate, made of planks, with ropes that firmly tied the hull of the model ship to the frame, which permitted to avoid damage during the long distance transportation by truck, from Los Angeles to Miami, Florida. The crate itself is an admirable feat of packaging. I intend to display the model on top of my vinyl records storage cabinet.
